Entry Process (Special Entry Procedure)
To stop the spread of COVID-19, a particular immigration procedure is necessary for everyone entering Korea. The Korea Disease Control Agency should be consulted by tourists for the most recent information as immigration safety standards are often revised (KDCA).
- Fill out the Health Questionnaire and Travel Record Declaration (Special Quarantine Report) on board the plane – Does not apply to Q-code applicants who pre-registered their information.
2. Upon arrival at the airport, proceed to check temperature and submit documents at quarantine checkpoint – Q-code applicants may use their pre-issued QR code instead of submitting printed documents.
Required documents
Passport
All documents above can be registered in advance via Q-code.
3. Quarantine Procedure
In asymptomatic COVID-19
After passing through immigration, people who have completed their vaccinations (either in Korea or abroad) and who exhibit no symptoms (such as fever, cough, etc.) during the health screening process or on their health questionnaire are allowed to continue to their destination.
Symptomatic
Travelers with symptoms can get a free COVID-19 test at a testing facility or nearby clinic three days after their arrival.
If the test is positive, the traveler must stay in quarantine for seven days at their residence, a hospital, or a care facility.
It is recommended to test for the RAT
4. Submit Test Results
Regardless of Q-Code pre-entry registration, all travelers must register on Q-Code as of July 14, 2022.
By submitting their passport number, birthdate, and entry date, individuals who did not pre-register through the Q-Code technique can do so.
