While 2023 is ready with a whole host of surprises for us all, let’s hold up our enthusiasm and get ready for what the first month of the year has in store for us. 2023 is ready with some new Kdramas as well as a complete new season of some of our favorite dramas.
January 2 : Brain Works
This drama will take you on a suspenseful mystery journey with a team made up of a neuroscientist, a detective, and a hypnotic investigator. It will also make you chuckle a lot. As it combines comedy with mystery, this 16-episode sitcom is ready to get your new year off to a bang.
The drama is directed by Lee Jin-seo and features a cast that includes Jung Yong-hwa, Cha Tae-hyun, Kwak Sun-young, Ye Ji-won, Jung Dong-hwan, and Woo Hyun. On KBS2, the drama will be aired.
January 4 : Run Into You
When two persons are given the ability to go back in time, they both choose the year 1987 even though they have distinct objectives in mind. The goal of this science fiction mystery romance is to affect the future of two people who meet by chance while taking you back in time.
Kim Dong-wook, Jin Ki-joo, Seo Ji-hye, Lee Won-jung, Lee Ji-hyun, and Lee Kyu-hoe are among the cast members of the drama, which was directed by Kang Soo-yeon. On KBS2, the drama will be aired.
January 6 : Payback
The retaliation of a group of people who are prepared to stand up to unfair authorities and combat a cartel that is cooperating with the state in a way that has never been seen before. We always look forward to new episodes of revenge thriller dramas, and this is one to look forward to.
Along with other cast members, Lee Sun-kyun, Moon Chae-won, Kang Yoo-seok, Park Hoon, Kim Hong-pa, and Kim Mi-sook appear in the Lee Won-tae-directed drama. On SBS, the drama will be shown.
January 7 : Agency
This drama, which follows the life of a lady who rose to become the first female CEO in her group, will be a corporate drama that highlights the genuine struggle that occurs behind the scenes. This performance aims to arouse awe when we encounter life’s realities rather than just the pretty flowers and butterflies.
Along with other cast members, Lee Bo-young, Jo Sung-ha, Son Na-eun, Hang Joon-woo, Jeon Hye-jin, and Jang Hyun-sung appear in the Lee Chang-min-directed drama. The drama’s jTBC debut is scheduled.
January 11 : Poong the Joseon Psychiatrist
The Joseon doctor is back to finish his tale as he meets up with Wun-woo and his Gyesu clinic family once more. This 10-episode follow-up is here to finally put an end to the program, leaving us content and joyful for good.
Kim Min-jae, Kim Hyang-gi, Kim Sang-kyung, Kang Young-seok, Woo Da-vi, and Ahn Chang-hwan are among the cast members of the drama, which was directed by Park Won-gook and Kang Hee-ju. On tvN, the sequel’s premiere will air.
January 14 : Crash Course In Romance
Who doesn’t enjoy a good romantic comedy? One of our favorite genres is slated to debut in 2023, bringing us all a funny love tale between two private instructors. When one of them decides to enter the other’s line of work, this romantic comedy brings together two people with diametrically opposed personalities and levels of popularity.
The drama, which is directed by Yoo Je-won, also features the acting talents of Jeon Do-yeon, Jung Kyung-ho, Lee Bong-ryun, Oh Eui-shik, Shin Jae-ha, and Roh Yoon-seo. The drama is scheduled to air on tvN.
January 27 : Kokdu: Season Of Diety
With 16 episodes, the Grim Reapers are back and this time they’re in a medical fantasy that will keep us entertained. A grim reaper who has 49 days off encounters a female doctor who can command him around while he is in human form.
Kim Jung-hyun, Im Soo-hyang, Kim Da-som, Ahn Woo-yeon, Cha Chung-hwa, and Kim In-kwon are among the cast members of the drama, which was directed by Baek Soo-chan and Kang Yi-hun. In addition to airing on MBC, the drama will be streamed on Viki.
